“I have been working out under the guidance of Lance for 6+ years. He
has trained me through three pregnancies and brought my body back each
time! Thanks to Lance, I am in better shape now than I was in college!”

"Lance has challenged, encouraged and inspired me to achieve things I
never thought possible. At 43, I am now stronger than I have ever been.
In additional to physical strength, since working with him, I have made
a mental shift from "I can't" to "Of course I can!" The ongoing sense
of accomplishment that I feel is priceless."

You rock, Lance! xxxooo

"I started doing 'boot camp' with Lance Forrest a year ago. I am
a 43 year old mother of one child. With the exception of a few
years of infertility and pregnancy, I have been physically active
since college, doing a variety of things such as running, aerobics,
step class, spinning and hot yoga. I tried weight training but
found it dull and I have a tendency to bulk. My weight has always
fluctuated between 5 and 10 pounds but I have never really
struggled with weight gain.
About 6 months after I turned 40, my body began to change.
What was working before no longer worked. I was eating next to
nothing and running several days a week, but my clothes were
not fitting. It was very discouraging. I knew that strength
training was critical at my age but was unsure how to incorporate
it into my routine.
A friend, who had been working out at The Fitness Studio, mentioned the new boot camp which was starting in October of 2005. I immediately signed up for 3 days a week, and started the next week. It was as hard a workout as I had ever experienced, partially due to my age and physical condition but partially because it is really strenuous. Sometimes I thought that I could not make it through but I loved the class and the energy for that one hour 3 times a week. I kept my commitment to myself. In the 8th week, I began to see changes in my body. I reached my goal – I could finally fit in my skinny jeans!
Nine months later, I still “boot camp” 3 days a week and I plan to start training
once a week as a supplement. Yes, I am addicted but what a great addiction. What
makes this program so great for me is the variety. Every day is different – you
never know what the class will be like. It always incorporates both cardio and
strength training. It’s flexible in that I can choose which days I attend and what
times. It’s exciting to see those around
me reach their personal goals. It is
motivating to work out with others,
both students and trainers, who are
commited to the health and well-being
of their bodies, minds and spirits.
Finally, it is positive and upbeat. It is a joy to walk through those doors and know that I will be challenged both mentally and physically to a point just beyond where I went in the last session. It makes everything else in my life fall into place.
